Every once in a while, a course comes along that reminds me why I love building for GSPro — and Wade Hampton is one of those.

Nestled in the mountains of Cashiers, North Carolina, it’s a course that lives and breathes elevation change. I had very limited reference material to work from this time, but that almost made it more enjoyable. I leaned into a more rustic interpretation — one that fits the environment I imagine when I think of the Carolinas in late summer: deep forest greens, layered shadows, and subtle morning mist curling through the trees.

From the opening tee shot, you’ll feel the terrain moving beneath you — uphill climbs, downhill approaches, and tucked greens that demand precision. It’s one of the most visually dramatic and naturally shaped courses I’ve ever built.
